Terms and Conditions

Please read and be aware of these Terms and Conditions. Your request for our services constitutes your acceptance of the following:

Your move is subject to confirmation a day before the move. If we cannot reach you during this period, your move may be delayed.

Our rates are subject to change without notice. Making a reservation by placing a deposit on a credit card will lock-in your rate for up to 6 months. We are not responsible for typographical errors in our rates.

Transit times are generally between 10 to 21 business days from the date you are first available for delivery.

Example 1: On the day of the move, the foreman will ask you when you will be ready to receive delivery of your goods and will note that date on the Order for Service. This date becomes your "1st date available for delivery." If you are ready immediately, then the date first available for delivery will be the same as your pick-up date, and in that case you should receive your goods within 10-21 business days from the pick-up date.

Example 2: If on the day of the move you notify the foreman that you can receive delivery 5 days from the date of pick-up, then that date will become the "1st date available for delivery." We will have 10-21 business days from this date to deliver your goods.

You can anticipate longer transit times during our busiest season. Some delays are not within our control, such as mechanical or equipment breakdown, random inspections, forces of nature or acts of God, riots, strikes, embargoes, or wars. You may call us anytime on our toll free number for an update on your shipment.

For purposes of calculating delivery times, business days are considered Monday through Friday.

If you cancel more than 7 business days prior to the original scheduled move date by calling us at (888) 474-MOVE (6683), you will receive a full refund of any deposit paid.

If you cancel less than 7 business days prior to the original scheduled move date, a cancellation fee may apply depending on the reason of the cancellation.

1.If, on the day of the move, you have additional items than what was listed on the original estimate, you can work with the company to receive a revised estimate prior to loading. Or, we will agree to ship what was originally estimated at the originally estimated price. Or, you may cancel the job. Note that if you are unwilling to agree to a new estimate, the company also has the right to cancel the job. In this situation, you will receive a refund of any deposits paid, if any, and you will not be subject to a cancellation fee.

2. If you cancel because of any other reason, you may be charged our costs up to that point in preparing for your shipment.  You may also be charged a $250 cancellation fee.  For example, if you cancel on the day of  the move and a crew and truck has already been dispatched to the origin address, you may be charged $250 plus gas and labor expenses. This fee is necessary because we have allocated a truck and a moving crew for your particular job.

Please note that packing materials, if requested, will be charged at an additional fee.

When 1 month of free storage applies, the 1 month begins on the date of pickup. We reserve the right to store the goods at a location of our choosing, based in part on storage availability.

All shipments are covered under basic valuation policies. Additional coverage is available prior to pickup. There is no coverage for vehicles of any kind, including, but not limited to, motor vehicles, aircraft, and/or watercraft. Also, there is no coverage for special equipment of any kind.

The United States Department of Transportation has published two important handouts discussing moves. They are Ready to Move and Rights and Responsibilities.
